By train from Brussels Airport to the railway station in Leuven
The main Brussels airport has its own train station which has direct connections to Leuven (not ‘Louvain-la-Neuve’). The train station is located at the lowest floor and tickets can be bought there as well. Trains go twice every hour on 18 and 39 past the hour during the week; on Sundays and holidays they only run once an hour. A ticket from Brussels Airport to Leuven is approximately €8 per person.
By bus from the railway station in Leuven to the ETF
The bus station is located on your right as you exit the front entrance of the Leuven railway station. From the railway station in Leuven you can take lines 7-8-9 (toward Egenhoven – Bertem) or line 395-595 (toward Overijse – Groenendaal). The bus stop you need is Groeneweg, which is right in front of LCCS/ETF. You will need to notify the bus driver about which stop you want as the bus will not automatically stop at Groeneweg. The bus driver may not know ETF or LCCS but he may know the Jesuit Seminary or Wisteria–the KU Leuven dormitory behind ETF. Tickets can be purchased at the railway station for €1.60; otherwise you can pay the driver directly but the cost will be €3.
By car from the E40 (Brussels – Liege)
Take the exit onto the E314 (Leuven-Hasselt-Genk) but immediately bear right because the exit onto the connector to Leuven-Centrum is only about one kilometer from the E40. Go on the connector only about one kilometer to the first traffic lights, where you turn left. The large glass and brick building of LCCS/ETF will be on your right after about 200 meters.
By car from the E314 (from Limburg)
Take exit 15 towards Leuven-Centrum. After about one kilometer on the connector to Leuven-Centrum you have the first traffic lights, where you turn left. The large glass and brick building of LCCS/ETF will be on your right after about 200 meters.
